What if: Indian Air Force buys and builds Mirage 4000 in 1980s?

What if, under the influence of Bored Omnipotent Being (BOB)......

Instead of binge buying Jaguars, Bisons and Mirage 2000s in the 1980s.....

In early 1978, Indian Air Force and the Indian government were given knowledge of Dassault is developting a twin engine heavy fighter, the Mirage 4000. And BOB would influencd the Indians to invest in their development with a hefty order:

48 twin seater Mirage 4000 build by French will be delivered by 1986~1988 first, then 96 single seater Mirage 4000 will be delivered in 1989~1993.

In the same time, the French will assist the Indians to build a factory for assembly and repair of Mirage 4000.

Then the Indians will assemble 144 single seater Mirage 4000 under French supply and supervision from 1989 to 1998.

After the order is completed, the Indian Air Force reserve the option to build 144 Mirage 4000 "Block II" upgrade variants in the Indian plant.

Full technological transfer of the Mirage 4000 is included in the deal, including any upgrades for the Indian's Block II variant.

And BOB will conjured enough bribes to keep both sides of the Indian political happy, and enough propoganda to make the ordinary Indians believe this is the best thing since sliced bread.

The French Air Force would later buy 36 french-build single seater Mirage 4000 for their own use, and the Taiwanese would also procure 12 double-seater and 48 single-seater Mirage 4000 from France in circa 1990s.

So, how would it likely affect the Indian's indigenous aeronautic industry in the long run? and their indigenous fighter projects?

Or how it would affect the Frenchs'?

It's likely to fuck the Rafale's entire existence, leading to the French naval aviation using the F/A-18 Hornet, maybe upgraded to Super Hornet in the 2010s, while the Air Force itself would probably stick to a mixture of 2000, possibly Eurofighter and 4000, missing the technological vision brought by Rafale.

Couldn't the French keep pushing the Rafale for their own use instead?

Don't really have the cash to push for two parallel fighter jet development programs or to acquire several different ones at the same time, particularly after the USSR collapse. Rafale barely managed to be green-lit in good part because it could also be navalized and would simplify logistics like crazy. Mirage 4000 would doom it.
