Don't worry that there has been no real progress, because Trumpie has admitted that he welcomes a sequel!

FBI Director Christopher Wray told lawmakers Donald Trump Jr. should have called his agency to report the offer.

But Trump, who nominated Wray to the role in 2017, told ABC News that he disagrees. "The FBI director is wrong." The president added, "Life doesn't work like that."

Asked whether his advisers should accept information on an opponent from Russia, China or another nation or call the FBI this time, Trump said, "I think maybe you do both," expressing openness to reviewing the information.

But, of course, it wouldn't be collusion or foreign influence because... I think it's because he is too dumb to understand. Donnie jr had to get it from somewhere.

Trump: 'I'm not a huge believer in polling'

President Donald Trump on Wednesday revived his attacks on the polling industry, denying reports that his own internal polling has indicated trouble ahead for his reelection bid, even as public polls show warning signs.

The president pushed back on a New York Times story detailing his response to a "devastating" 17-state poll conducted by his internal pollster, and he reiterated that he believes the internal poll circulating was false but offered no evidence to back up his claim.

Trump said that the leak of "phony polls" that showed him lagging behind was "ridiculous," declaring in the Oval Office that to the contrary, "we are winning in every single state that we've polled."

According to the Times, after being briefed on the poll, Trump asked aides to deny that he was trailing former Vice President Joe Biden in several key states. When the toplines of Trump's internal polls leaked, he reportedly then asked advisers to "say publicly that other data showed him doing well."

Must be off his meds again...

Well, he doesn't care much: if he can start a war, he'll get reelected for sure.
Yeah there's that. I wonder if he actually believes the lunacy that comes out of his mouth or if he just says it because he knows it will rile up his hardcore base of ultra-nationalist flapdoodles?

Mueller to testify publicly on July 17 following a subpoena
(CNN)Robert Mueller will testify before Congress on July 17 after House Democrats issued a subpoena for his appearance, a move that paves the way for a reluctant special counsel to answer questions publicly for the first time about his 22-month investigation into President Donald Trump.

The House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees announced Tuesday that Mueller had agreed to testify after they issued subpoenas for his testimony, and Mueller would appear in public before the two panels next month.

...

In a letter to Mueller, the Democratic chairmen said that they understood Mueller's concerns about ongoing investigations referred by the special counsel, but still felt it was necessary for him to testify.

"We will work with you to address legitimate concerns about preserving the integrity of your work, but we expect that you will appear before our Committees as scheduled," Nadler and Schiff wrote.

This story is breaking and being updated.

Just mark the date on the calendar people...

This is going to be a gas.
Yeah, it will, even if it simply means he'll be mostly quoting the report. Given the current state of the GOP, I wouldn't be surprised that some GOP idiot decides to try the 'OBJECTION!' every five seconds routine before the head of the committee decides to throw him out for interrupting the proceedings so much.

Nice troll (at 2:40).

Reporter: Mr. President, will you tell Russia not to meddle in the 2020 election?
Trump: Of course I will. (Turns to Putin.) Don't meddle in the election.

Some media, such as CNN, take an issue with this flippancy, but the quality of the answer is a very appropriate match for the quality of the question, which is very dumb—or rather, obviously aimed to buoy this topic for media purposes, rather than any genuine security concerns. That's in part because the consequences for such allegations have been demonstrated repeatedly and very loudly by the US establishment already (including Trump administration, such as e.g. Pompeo in official meeting with Lavrov in May). The actual parameters of risk-reward on this have already been repeatedly communicated. Like him or not, but Trump is simply not obliged to respect idiotic questions from the media.

9:02 in - Donald Trump (and Bill Clinton) named as clients of billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Kinda already had a feeling looking at him he would be that level of piece of shit creep.

Well, this happened:

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?
Deutsche Bank AG confirmed that it has tax returns requested by U.S. lawmakers seeking financial information for President Donald Trump and his family. Whose returns are those? That's still a secret.

The disclosure was made by the bank in a letter filed Tuesday in response to a question from an appeals court. The panel is considering a request from Trump to block access to financial records at Deutsche Bank and Capital One Financial Corp. subpoened by House Democrats. In a separate letter, Capital One said it does not possess the tax returns being sought.

A source close to Deutsche Bank says Trump's tax returns show he pays very little income tax and, more importantly, that his loans have Russian co-signers. If true, that explains every kind word Trump has ever said about Russia and Putin.

The thing here is that Trump has made far too many enemies already, and given that the only reason that he hasn't been dragged out of office is the equivalent of Imperium... instituted partially because the US has a history of having massive fights between political parties trying to unseat each other from power. The moment he steps out of office, he's going to be going out in handcuffs for numerous tax evasion, embezzlement, and similar charges.

The Judicial Branch will go full steam ahead because they understand that if they don't, the judicial branch will get neutered... which causes 'fun' to happen. The Dems in the Legislative branch would go full steam ahead because, well, it couldn't stand period. ... and given the situation, it is likely that the Dems will be taking the executive and they'll go full steam ahead because of all sorts of reasons.

Basically, unless the Russians get real blatant on keeping Trump around, there is only a loose-case scenario for the GOP...

We've heard this bullshit many times already. Might as well figure that the point of this 'investigation' is investigation itself.

Aaaaaaaaany time now! Any time!

I'm not seeing anything going to happen as there's little political motivation. Trump's a drama queen, this kind of spotlighting will just strengthen him.

Eh, not exactly, given the circumstances.

Enlightened self interest is a thing and Trump has made a lot of enemies in the various apparatuses of the government. The main problem is that the GOP would rather see the world burn than lose... which is great for their Russian masters.

Lol, you'll still be deluding yourself in 2050. Mueller is out of the game, Trump is gonna get reelected and you're the only one still lying to yourself.

Now, I am doubtful on whether or not trump will manage reelection. But that depenfs on how much of a crumpet fuck the democrats are in after their primaries.

Given how many people that Trump has made an enemy of and the fact that the legacy they could be responsible of would be 'the US is a warzone because of their inaction' if they keep with the status quo... the Dems will get their pound of flesh, one way or another.

we said the same thing before his election, the brits said remain would win, I fear for the world we're making

But anytime now, you know... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
This is the most funny political thread I've ever seen.
