[X] Allow Sylvester to create his own body, he will most likely be a useful comrade
You gave Sylvester a curt nod, and that is all it needed for the AI to start working again. At least you have that lock order should he do something wrong.
You also decided to give Helen the greenlight, redirecting power from the central batteries into the Universal Assembler facility, you still told her to hold transferring physical resources though, a part of you still feels rather insecure with the rather unexpected progress you've made with him.
Perhaps he is trying to stall you, you cannot be too sure.
Still, regardless of your disposition, what's done is done, and as you peer over the office space, past the windows overlooking the assembly line, you saw him salvage the remaining metals and alloys of other robots, disassembling them, reforging them, making something new out of them.
And the results were quickly escorted away from your sight, probably for some more touch ups.
You wonder what the AI will look like in person, what form will he take that suits him best, will he be burly? Skinny? A part of you is highly nervous, it might be that he would take a form that will kill you easily, so easily in fact, that you won't have time to order the lock to activate.
It is certainly a possibility, if you think that that's possible, Sylvester would've probably ran thousands of simulations involving that exact situation, you instinctively grabbed the handle of your monoblade tighter. A little bit of fear taking over you.
He could be arriving any minute now, any minute, and there! You saw the door that you entered in open again, and what revealed to you is, well, it's certainly interesting.
He looked like a weird fusion of both human and machine, his arms are visibly mechanical, and yet, everything else in his body is carefully modeled to look as human as possible. A very unique design to say the least.
You wonder why he modeled it to look muscular though, perhaps a question to ask for later.
"Impressive body." You complimented, something that Sylvester took without any emotional reaction. You are unsure what to react next, people usually make some sort of cue and then you turn that into a conversation, but he seemingly goes without any cue whatsoever, and you're now both left with an awkward silence.
"Yes, it is quite the body, I tried my best merging both practicality and strength, and my calculations have lead to this configuration being the best, I might need modifications as I travel with this body though, I remember a phrase about things that doesn't kill you."
"Yeah. That phrase." You said, "so anyway, I think that my work's done here, can you hold the fort for a little while here? I'm probably going to request a new bike from Helen now. Just, make sure that you don't make robots with the express purpose of killing me. I'll also make sure you have the resources to repair the entire building."
"Of course!" Sylvester responded. "I wouldn't think of any other way for me to gain your trust, just give me the resources and I'll start making those robots you ordered a couple decades ago."
You are personally not sure as to how to deal with this, you don't trust Sylvester, but the best way to gain his trust is to let him go, it's quite the paradoxical dilemma that you're in. But in the end, you left Sylvester to his own devices, as important as that Universal Assembler is, there are two other places that you need to check. So you took a rather long walk back to the entrance of the building, where a bike with it's hatch opened is waiting for you.
Where do you want to go now?
[ ] Go and repair the Communications Building, restoring Communications to see where in the world you are now and get your bearings is of absolute necessity.
[ ] Take a bike towards the Spacedock, stocking your inventory first is of absolute necessity, you are going to need Spaceships in order to rebuild humanity.
Note: Sylvester has begun the work of assembling various robots, if you need assistance, you can theoretically call him, although you need to ensure that you have enough time and space between you and the danger so that you can ask for his assistance.
