Now lets say a certain Benefactor has decided to give Mankind a pretty awesome gift....

Everyone becomes a Mage. Yes a D&D Mage. You neither need Materials, Components or any other stuff. Just say the words and bang.....

However, this Benefactor doesn´t like you. Yes, YOU. Why this Benefactor doesn´t like you, doesn´t really matter in this Scenario.

But, in terms of fairness, you too shall become a Mage. While everyone else becomes a full fledged level 20 Mage (up to level 9 Spells), including knowledge how to use it and so,
as for you, you become just a level 12 Mage (up to level 6 Spells). This Benefactor has made sure that you won´t be able to advance any further and as a constant reminder, all
other Mages will permanently remind you that you are and always will be only a level 12 Mage. Not even Wish will help here......

How would you deal with it ?

Lets assume the people were smart enough to NOT blow themselves and others skyhigh or do any other stupid stunts (yes, i know, that is contradictory)....
Still, how would you deal with this "fact" ??

How often would we have to all go do it?

If I want to instead use all this cool magic to build a starship and go out there? Am I not allowed to unless I make a spell to send a reminder to Rufus?

Wait until all the other Mages annihilate each other in the inevitable fight for power, then be THE Mage. Once I am unchallenged, I can recreate the world MY WAY.
