Turkey is angry that it and Northern Cyprus have been excluded from this deal. Though some type of deal like this was likely going to happen with Turkey treating the Eastern Mediterranean like it's own personal lake.

Fools! I told you the Ottoman Empire was coming back! Nobody listened! They took Constantinople, and now they will take more! 😱

The project, with a rough budget of $6bn, is expected to satisfy about 10 percent of the European Union's natural gas needs. But it also is fraught with political and logistical complexities.
According to wiki, the capacity is 10 km³/yr, so this implies that EU consumption is about 100 km³/yr. It's actually around 450-500 km³/yr, and due to Germany's energy policy and Groningen shutting down in 2022, it will likely be more than that, or at least on the high end of that range.
