A team of scientists from Tianjin University and Southern University of Science and Technology had develop a tech-demo of sorts....
Basically, they use a lump of lab-grown Human brain matter (using Human stem cells), implanted it with a neural interface chip, and hook it up to a toy robot...
And they say the "Brain" could "instructed" using external stimuli, which via the neural interface chip, the "Brain" could control the robot to avoid obstacles, track and grasp objects...
