US Politics American 2020 Presidential Primary

I guess that kind of crime is enough to give you mega-citizenship there.

Je me présente comme candidat au poste de premier ministre lors des élections de cette année. Bien sûr, gagner voudrait que je sois plus criminel que politicien, mais je reste optimiste.

These political machines first and foremost are concerned with making money and to that end have spend the last four years absolutely shitting on Trump and capiazing on the easy views that brings. They're not about to alienate their entire audience by doing a complete 180 and suddenly supoorting Trump.

CNN just hired a GOPPER with zero experience whatsoever (see post #320) like a day after Bernie announced he was running for president...

Attack on Biden can come from an angle most Americans would not expect right now - Ukraine. He was instrumental in the 2014 coup, and he has installed his son in Ukraine's largest independent energy trader, Burisma Holdings. In some 5 weeks Ukraine will have another presidential election, and it is possible that Porky will manipulate it enough to 'win.' If that happens, Ukraine will probably go down fast because of external factors, and Biden's role in getting Porky into power could become a problem. It would be a catastrophe for Democrats to have Biden win the primaries only to be then brought down by his involvement in Ukraine. What is even worse is that Trump will have the chance to influence how Ukraine will evolve, Porky is US puppet and 100% dependent on Trump's support. So IMO sending Biden against Trump would be a horrible mistake.

The GOP know this, its why Trump's trying to scare them back to the "Center"...

Yep, he's trying to bring them to a playing field where he can beat them. If they once again promise the voters traditional American politics, Trump will once again paint himself as the revolutionary, saying that he did his best in his first term, the Dems didn't let him do more, but he will go at it again if the people elect him for 2nd term.
I would really like to know how many of his voters got that he isn't a good president, and how many are still waiting for a second round.
And I really, really don't get how anybody can claim that Medicare for all isn't possible, in a country with a $700 bln defense budget.

This is probably the best place to post this: Jennifer Lawrence explains what's broken in US political system, and how to fix it:

See, Morgan Freeman? This is how you use your popularity for good!

Can't fix the political system there without questioning and rejecting large parts of the society and culture, the political system giving itself its own legitimacy which is ingrained in the population. Remember that in the mainstream discourse, it's less 'this form of government or another' but 'this form of government or no government', with many people actually believing the 'no government' part to be an actual option.

I get you, but I have to believe that the American people are better than that. They are not stupid. They are noticing that there's a problem, and sooner or later they will have to arrive at the "profound" revelation that it's not Russia or China or the Democrats or the GOP, but the whole f***ing corrupt system. This video is very good because it does not attack the liberals or the conservatives or any specific group of voters, it attacks the barriers that prevent voters to have their wishes turned into policies.
