[X] Toss a monster at both sides and see what happens.
-[X] Let's throw in
Tarasque from D&D and see how it develops.
[X] Visit someone.
-[] And let's visit Nagendra, make my presence known BTW. Know what his intentions and motivations are.
You watched with interest as some of the humans banded together, putting on leather armor and weapons. A couple of swords here and there, but mostly axes and spears. Now, you COULD just let them go after the Goblins, and let the two sides fight. You COULD just leave them alone and go do something else while the humans slaughtered the goblins and were slaughtered in return.
You could do all of those.
But really, what would be the fun in that?
You spirit yourself a bit away and start work on making a monster, taking a bit of inspiration from your lizard men and creating a mighty beast. You didn't make it as strong as you could, and decided that if anyone asked you would just say it was the runt of the liter or something else like that. They couldn't disprove it, could they?
You gave it sets of spikes on its back, and several pointy teeth meant to be used for tearing apart stone and dirt as easily as flesh and bone. Merge them together a little bit, and you had flexible armor plating for your new beast. Now, the only thing it needed was a brain. After a moment of consideration, you decided to have it be as smart as like, a dog! It would get general commands, but complex issues would be far beyond it. As for empathy, it would need to grow that on its own.
Setting it down, you set it on a path for where the humans and goblins would meet and grinned, setting up a reminder to come watch when it stumbled upon them.
There was something else you needed to do however.

You had found your way to the serpents home, and you had to admit, you were slightly impressed how much he had done with so little time.
To start with, he had a bare bones map of the area, and of the city. No real detail, but he had a rough outline of it, along with certain sections marked off as food, guard, extreme danger, small foods, and things of that manner.
He had long purple worms drilling in and out of his cave, as well as underground, seeming to make a series of tunnels that connected into other caves.
But what made up the vast part of his forces was what he was named for, that being serpents and sea snakes of various sizes and types. Some wielding venom, some being able to blend in with the area around them, and some just being big beefy bastards.
" Greetings, king of serpents." The large snake hissed in surprise and turned around to face you, a smile obvious on your blindfolded face.
" How," he slithers closer, a makeshift crown on his head, " did you get in here? You don't smell like a fish man, and you don't look like one."
" That isn't important." she stepped forward, ignoring the snakes that started to curl around her ankles, their flesh breaking between her will. " What's important are these two questions. What are going to do?"
He hissed, curling into a tight coil while giving her a look up and down. " I want to make that knight suffer. She killed one of mine. She dies for that."
" But he was attacking their home."
" Doesn't matter. He was one of mine. She killed him. I'm going to make her die for it. But, I have a question for you. Who are you? What do you want with me? After all," he uncoiled himself and inched closer, serpents now surrounding you. " No one knows where I am. They don't know of me. Who are you?"
