The premise of saying that Ukraine is behaving like Hamas in the first place also involves lots and lots of lead paint as well. Holistic lead paint.

Case in point- the many manifestations all around the world against how Israel is doing in Gaza. They are branded anti-semitic and you already see histories about the anti-semitism growing in the world.

True, but that's not particularly out of character for US leadership - dithering and isolationist or neutral at best (although conveniently always play world police when its against an opponent they think they can actually defeat in combat), at least until the war comes home to roost on American soil in some fashion.

That's unlikely to have been the reason; the attack was a political disaster for him, and he didn't need a casus belli anyway to do genocide since they already were.

This was simply dismissing Hamas as a threat no matter the evidence, because Bibi had decided years ago they were a "solved problem" and people like Bibi think that reality is required to fit their preconceptions.

But he used it anyway. Had this been in the early 2000s Gaza might have ended up with half of it turned to Israel's de facto control.

Yes.
Basically Israeli higher ups stopped listening to their intelligence orgs, at the point where they reported that Hamas is up to something, because they expected it to be something minor like the last conflict in 2014, that could be used for drumming up domestic support. They did the same with the military's reports* about Hamas' preparations and exercises, all through the year.

* TL; Dr: the screen watchers of the monitoring systems on the border wall had a prime view of all the preps and exercises for months. Their reports were ignored .
